- Michigan K-12 Administration Certificate
- Extensive knowledge and leadership experience in curriculum & instruction, and operations of a comprehensive middle school and high school secondary program.
- Administration experience as a high school principal or assistant Principal preferred.

The Charyl Stockwell Academy (CSA) District seeks a proven secondary leader to serve as Director of Secondary Education in this mission driven, high performing district.
The CSA District secondary education program at the middle school and preparatory high school incorporates five core philosophies that guide all aspects of the educational program: whole child/developmental approach, internal motivation psychology, continuous progress/mastery learning, and high expectations. The educational program implements researched-based best instructional practices.
The preparatory high school provides a comprehensive whole child education. The curriculum includes a wide array of AP courses, and honors opportunities. The high school is also certified as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program School.
The mission of the Charyl Stockwell Academy District is to provide a safe and enriching place for children to grow from early childhood through adolescence, while providing those children with a rigorous education that will prepare them for their success in college, career, and life. The academy is deeply committed to providing a need-fulfilling environment that educates the whole child, with high expectations for quality work and academic performance. The K-12 educational model addresses the intellectual, social/emotional, physical, and moral/character development of each individual child. The educational methodologies the academy utilizes are grounded in best educational practice that is confirmed by extensive research.
Intellectual rigor in a warm and nurturing environment free of coercive methods and interventions is central to our mission. Research on the brain and learning presents compelling evidence that children of all ages must feel emotionally safe in a school setting in order to fully maximize their learning potential.
The academy uses a continuous progress/mastery learning model with a component for the academically gifted student to insure intellectual challenge and rigor. The academy promotes methods that build upon every child’s intrinsic motivation to learn to insure an emotionally safe and need-fulfilling environment. The moral development of our students is addressed in a curriculum infused with a strong character education program.
