The Executive Board and Governing Board of the Special Education District Of McHenry County seek a proven and visionary leader to serve as the Executive Director/Superintendent of this special education joint agreement. The joint agreement facilitates comprehensive services for special needs students in the seventeen member districts. The Executive Director will oversee the facilitation of these services and report directly to the Executive Board of SEDOM.
SEDOM facilitates a broad range of services, providing high quality instruction and support for students with low-incidence disabilities and behavioral challenges. Services offered through SEDOM include both direct services to students and indirect consultation to staff members and are delivered by specially trained, licensed and certified staff.
SEDOM also provides a variety of support services including: adapted physical education, assistive technology, behavioral intervention, coaching/consultation services, health services, occupational and physical therapy, and vision services.
